Hilda M. Wenger, 76, formerly of Manheim, and a resident of Maple Farm Akron; died on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late, Jonas and Edith Ebersole Groff. Hilda worked for Schick Corp., Hamilton Watch and Woodstream Corp. She was the wife of the late, Harold Wenger. Hilda was a member of Newport Dove Church, Elm. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, hunting, trapping and had her own cookbook.

Surviving is a daughter, Linda Keener of Manheim, a son, Thomas G. husband of Beth Bomberger Wenger of South Lebanon, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 brothers: Homer Groff of Manheim, Clair husband of Marlene Groff of Palmyra, Harold husband of Lois Groff of Mount Joy and a sister, Helen wife of David Habecker of Newmanstown. Preceding her in death is a granddaughter, Tracy DeHart, brother, Kenneth Groff and a son-in-law, Richard Keener.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Hernley Mennonite Cemetery 746 Lebanon Road, Manheim on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
