Ethel E. Hirsch, 75, 814 W. 14th St., died at 12:20 p.m. June 21, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospice Unit.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt. Music will be provided by the church choir under the direction of Harry Federwitz, with Sally Becker as the organist.
Pallbearers will be nieces.
Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday until time of services at the church.
She was born Jan. 15, 1921, in the town of Green Valley to Rubin and Marie Babcock. She attended the town of Green Valley schools. She was married to Edmund Hirsch May 18, 1938, at Grace Lutheran Church in the town of Green Valley.
She farmed with her family until her marriage. They farmed in the Green Valley area for 14 years, then moved to Marshfield, where they farmed until 1975, when they retired. She continued to live in her home until she entered the nursing home in July 1994.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Hirsch, of Mosinee; a daughter, Rita England, of Kenosha; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six sisters, Delphion Werther and Opal Krueger, both of Marshfield, Lorraine Morrill, of rural Mosinee, Evelyn Doering and Ellen Martin, both of Milwaukee, and Yvonne Vesely, of Lemont, Ill.; and two brothers, Howard Babcock and Gerald Babcock, both of Sheboygan.
