Elmer Goetsch, 60, Town of Maine, died at 8:25 am today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lester Rusch, 901 Norton St., after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:15 pm in the Helke West Chapel and at 2 pm at Zion LUtheran Church in the Town of Maine. The Rev. Walter Piehler will officiate and burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in the Town of Maine.
The body will be at the Helke West Chapel after 2 pm Monday.
Born Jan. 1, 1902 in the Town of Maine, Mr. Goetsch was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Goetsch. He married the former Alma Peterson in Wittenberg June 5, 1926.
A member of the Lutheran Laymen's League and the Men's Club at Zion Lutheran Church, he worked at the Anderson Bros. and Johnson granite quarry as a maintenance man.
Survivors are his wife; the daughter, Mrs. Rusch; two sons, James and Kenneth, Town of Maine; five brothers Siegmund and Winfried, Milwaukee, Martin, Town of Texas, the Rev Ronald Goetsch Amherst, and Robert, 815 Prospect Ave.; a sister, Mrs. Emil Woller, 124 N. Seventh Ave. and six grandchildren.
