He was married three times: firstly to Miss Mary Ely Sappinton and from this union four children were born- 2 surving: Mrs WC Maud Calhoun and SH Peacock Jr. and 2 grandchildren, C Jay Hardee a lawyer of Tampa and James Hardee of Madison. In 1886 he was married to Miss Florida Eugenia Davis, and two children survive:Barney L and Richmond Peacock. In 1920 he was married to Miss Daisy Brinson, who survives him.
He was made president of the First National bank of Perry when it was organized in 1903 and held that position capably until the time of his death. He was a consistent member of the Baptist church since early young manhood and was a true Christian. Besides his wife, and children he is survived by one brother JMN Peacock of Jacksonville, and a sister, Mrs. WN Weaver of this city. The funeral from the First Baptist church of Perry, Saturday afternoon at 3pm conducted by Rev SB Cole of Madison, a former pastor of the deceased. Burial will take place in the city cemetery.
