She was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and will be remembered for her dedication and service to the community. Patsy served as both a Girl Scout leader and a Sunday school teacher. She was a Pink Lady at Anderson Memorial Hospital for more than 50 years, accumulating over 5,000 hours of volunteer service. One of Patsy's proudest moments was receiving the Service to Mankind Award in 2005 from the Anderson Sertoma.
She was the daughter of the late harry Augustus Sloan and Harriet Smith Sloan. She was the wife of the late Horace Pickens.
