Services were held at 1 p.j. Tuesday at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha for Louise E. Berge, 93, Kansas City, Kansas, formerly of Sabetha. She died Saturday, December 10, 1988 at a Kansas City, Kansas medical center.
Mrs. Berge had been employed by Sabetha Seed House. She previously worked as a telephone operator at Papillion, Neb. and as postmaster at Rushville, Neb.
She was born November 15, 1895 at Papillion, Neb. the daughter of Peter and Augusta Marie Van Ruska Ehlers.
She was married to Clyde Berge September 1, 1923 at Council Bluffs, Iowa. He died August 10, 1975. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Margaret Brown.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Richards, Marriam; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; five sisters, Clara Lutz, Lewisville, Neb. Minnie Lutz, Papillion, Neb. Annie Kaiser and Marjorie Brockman, both of Omaha, Neb. and Gladys Norgard, Blair, Neb.
Burial was in Sabetha Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sabetha Community hospital Foundation.
