Funeral services will be held Thursday (tomorrow) at 1:30 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran church, here for Emil Hein, 76, a life-long resident of Lowden. The Rev Earl Elowsky will officiate. Mrs Lorenz Hoffmeier will be organist and the men's choir will sing hymns. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Hein, Gary Hein, Robert Butterbrodt, Kenneth Burmeister, James Kruckenberg and Everett Frink. Mrs James Stiff and Mrs Wm Ketelsen are in charge of flowers.
Mr Hein, a former Lowden business man, died Tuesday at his home. He had been in failing health for some time.
Emil Hein was born June 20, 1891 to Henry and Minnie Meier Hein in Lowden. He attended Lowden schools. He was a World War I veteran. He was married to Louise Niermeyer. He was in the tire and battery business here and later did plumbing and electrical work. Mrs Niermeyer died in 1957.
Mr Hein was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran church. He was also a member of the Lillis-Deerberg Legion Post.
Surviving are his sister, Miss Martha Hein, who resided with him; and two brothers, Ferdinand of Lowden and Gerhard of Gilroy, Calif.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
