Last rites are planned for Thursday (tomorrow) at 1:30 p.m. for Ferdinand Hein, 90 of Lowden. The Rev Earl Elowsky will officiate at the services in Trinity Lutheran church. The Men's Choir will sing and Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier will be organist. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Burmeister, James Kruckenberg, Larry Hein, Robert Butterbrodt, Donald Hein, Gary Hein. Mrs Wm Ketelsen, Mrs James Stiff and Mrs Steve Agne are in charge of flowers.
Mr Hein died Monday at the Clarence Nursing Home following a lingering illness.
He was born in Lowden and was a retired farmer. He married Minnie Meier in Clarence in 1910.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs Wm Butterbrodt and Mrs Irvin Burmeister of Tipton; Mrs Eleanor Kruckenberg of Lowden; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Hein of Clarence and a brother Gerhard of Gilroy, Calif.
