Formerly a lay reader and organist at Sweetest Heart of Mary Polish Parish, Detroit, assisting Father Dominic Kolasinski. Rector of Holy Trinity, Freeland, PA, 1894-1896, and Holy Mother of the Rosary, Buffalo, NY, 1896-1911. Helped Father Anton Kozlowski establish All Saints Parish in Chicago. Brought him and his parish in the Christian Catholic Church, under Bishop Vilatte. Elected Auxiliary Bishop for Polish Americans in 1898; consecrated by Bishop Vilatte on March 21. See city: Buffalo.
