Otis - David Schlegel, 70, died at his farm
home this morning (17 November 1966), two
miles west of Otis, of an apparent heart
attack. Born Jan. 28, 1896 at Otis, he was a
lifelong resident of that community. He was
a retired farmer and married Mrs. Mollie Yost
Oct. 28, 1927 at Otis.

He was a lifelong member of Otis Methodist Church.

He is survived by the widow; two sons,
Harold (Roly), Stanta, and Marvin K.
Oklahoma City, Okla.; two step-sons,
Eldon Yost, Claflin, and Paul Yost,
Eads, Colo.; two daughters,
Mrs. Kenneth (Alberta)Fyler, Scott City,
and Mrs. Virginia Milliner, Kansas City, Kan.;
one brother, Wesley, Ness City; two sisters,
Mrs. Anna Muth, Otis, and Mrs. Rachel White,
Ottawa; 19 grandchildren and
11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will
be announced later by the
Hoover - Pittman Funeral Home, LaCrosse.
