Mrs. Elizabeth Hughes Virtue, widow of Thomas J. Virtue, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Benjamin W. VanDerwerker, North Broad St., at 7:50 a.m. yesterday. She was born in Tubermoor, Ireland, 1861, and had lived for many years in New York before coming to Schuylerville in 1919.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Hugh Borland, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Russell I. Garabrant, Morristown, N.J., and Mrs. Benjamin W. VanDerwerker, Schuylerville, and two sons, Thomas E. Virtue, Philadelphia, and W.D.Virtue, Rye, N.Y.; six grandchildren, William and Thomas Virtue, Rye; Kenneth Borland, USN submarine service; Jack VanDerwerker, Merchant Marines, at sea; Mrs. Edward Abraham, Morristown, N.J., and Thomas Fahje, Brooklyn and one great-grandchild, Thomas George Fahje, Brooklyn.
The funeral will be held from Closson Funeral Home, Burgoyne St., Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. H. Allen Cooper, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tomorrow night.

Schuylerville - The funeral of Mrs. Thomas Virtue was held at the Closson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. today. The Rev. H. Allen Cooper, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. It was a large funeral. Burial was made in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Bearers were Lt. Homer VanDerwerker, Donald VanDerwerker, James Mulvihill, Daniel J. Brennan, Harry E. Myers and T.E. Funston.
