ENID -- Services for Walter Went, 72, Route 1, Enid, who was killed Tuesday night (May 21) in an auto accident, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Fossett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leslie G. Everitt officiating. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery.

Went was born in Columbus, Neb., and as a child came with his parents to a farm west of Enid.

Survivors include his wife, Estelle, of the home; a son, Russell, Fountain Valley, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Bob (Virginia) King, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Bob (Janice) Commbs, Enid; Mrs. Charles (Jarilyn) Riley, Park Forrest, Ill.; four sisters, Miss Hattie Went, Enid, Mrs. Hilda Vogt, Enid, Miss Lydia Went, Los Angeles, Mrs. Dale Hellwege, Stillwater and seven grandchildren.

THREE ENID MEN DIE IN COLLISION
Three Enid men were killed Tuesday night in a head-on collision between a car and a pickup truck eight miles west of Enid on US-60. The highway patrol said all three Enid men were dead on arrival at an Enid hospital. Schlosser and Went (who were cousins) were together in a car headed east. It collided with a pickup truck driven by Sweet, headed west. The dead: Walter Lewis Schlosser, 58, Route 1 Enid, Walter Went, 72, Route 1 Enid, and Harry E. Sweet, 72, Enid.
