Laura Ziegler Cassel, 68, of 513 Liberty Valley Road, Danville, Montour County, formerly of Bethany Acres, Mount Carmel Township, Northumberland County, died Feb. 11 as a result of a car accident that day on State Route 54 near Danville. She was married to the Rev. Alva M. Cassel. A 1957 graduate of Bob Jones University, Greenville, S.C., with a degree in sacred music, she was a kindergarten and music teacher for Meadowview Christian Academy, Paxinos, Northumberland County, for the past 18 years. She also gave private instruction in piano, organ and voice. Born in Hatfield, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Cardine Ziegler, and a stepdaughter of Carolyn S. Ziegler. She was a member of Bethany Bible Fellowship Church, Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, and served as choir director, pianist, organist and teacher there and helped lead its seniors ministry. She played piano for other churches, church conference centers and in the mission field and spoke at women's seminars and Bible studies. Survivors: Husband; stepmother; sons, Alva M. of Mount Carmel, Matthew S. of Danville; daughters, Laura E. Fetterolf of Mount Carmel, Joanna S. Murrin of Cochabamba, Bolivia; brother, Rev. Daniel G.; sisters, Carol Snyder, Eleanor Ruch, Marjorie Cherry; 13 grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Call 9-11 a.m. Monday in the church. Arrangements, Willard A.
