Scottsdale, Ariz. -- Lillian Schmidt, 86, passed away April 29, 2012, at Eckstein Center, Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale. She was born in Hays on Oct. 6, 1925. She was at peace with her family surrounding her.
She is survived by her husband, James, of Fountain Hills; daughter, Kathleen Schmidt, of Glendale; son, Terry (Mary) Schmidt; and grandchildren, James, John and Margaret, of Scottsdale. Lillian was a life master at bridge and a loving nana to her three grandchildren.
A funeral Mass at Church of the Ascension, Fountain Hills, was 10 a.m. Friday, May 4. Burial will be at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Catherine, Kan., at a later date.
