A former Ellis County man, August Keberlein of Kansas City, died Tuesday at his home. He was 65.

Born in Antonino, he had lived in Kansas City since 1946 where he operated a health foods store.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Kansas City. The body will be brought to Hays where it will lie in state at Brock's North Hill Chapel from 7:30 p.m. Friday until graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Grace; a son, Albert, Topeka; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Schmidt, Solomon; 12 grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lorna Buckles, Littleton, Colo.; a stepson, Delos Stephens, Topeks; two brothers, Alex, Two Rivers, Wis., Joe, Denver; a sister, Mrs. Mike Billinger, Hays.
