Orem: O Rey Mikkelson, age 51, Orem died June 19, 1982 at Utah Valley Hospital.
Born March 19, 1931 in Fountain Green, Utah, the son of Niels E. and Oliva Llwellyn Mikkelson, He married Connie Gladd, June 23, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple, He graduated from Snow High School in Ephraim, Graduated from BYU in Industrial Arts Education, He taught for 25 years in the Alpine school district, He was serving as President of the Utah Industrial Education Association, Active High Priest in the Orem 31st Ward.
Survived by wife, one son, three daughters, Shawn Rey Mikkelson, Mrs Kelly (Gloria)Johnson, Mrs. Russell (Tamara) Card. Shellie Rae Mikkelson all of Orem, five Grandchildren; three brothers, one sister, Elwin (Flash) Mikkelson, Provo, Dorian Mikkelson, Midvale, Allen Mikkelson, Salt Lake City, Mrs San (Dorothy) Nelson, Sandy.
Funeral services Saturday 12:00 noon in the Orem 31st Ward Chapel, 641 South 400 East, Orem, Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Ward Chapel, Buriel: Orem City Cemetery, Funeral Directors: Sundberg Opin Mortuary.
Note: Rey was an execellent athlete, played basketball for Snow High School in Ephraim, Utah, starter, but had to be rested because of his heart, great addition to the team, good team player, also played baseball at Snow High School, good friend to all, loved to dance in Moroni, Utah
Friendship is a loving relationship between two people, Friends respect each other, care about each other, remain true to each other, and overlook and forgive each other's faults, Our Heavenly Father wants us to be friends to all his children, Rey was indeed a friend.
