SUGAR LAND - Mary Ludie Lalonde, 82, of Sugar Land passed away on Monday, December 04, 2006, at her residence in Sugar Land.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at Grammier - Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with Msgr. Kenneth Greig officiating. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 5, 2006, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ludie was born on May 25, 1924, in Arnaudville, Louisiana to Celine Robin Lanclos and John Lanclos. She had lived in Port Arthur for over sixty years and was a seamstress for many years, doing wedding dresses, uniforms for the high school students and whatever else she could help with. Ludie was devoted to her family and known for her cooking. She also liked to garden and was a faithful member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

Ludie was survived by her children, Judy Ann Lalonde Boyum and her husband George of Richmond, Texas, Loretta Gail Lalonde Myers and her husband Glynn of Houston and Phyllis Marie Lalonde Solcher and her husband Scott of Kingwood; brothers, Jean Lanclos of Groves, Anthony Lanclos of Port Arthur and Daniel Lanclos of Beaumont; grandchildren, Todd Boyum and his wife Cammi of Austin, Tiffany Boyum Pace and her husband Lex of Sugar Land, Michelle Myers Truax and her husband Jeremy of Houston, Nicole Myers Nalepa and her husband Marcus of League City, Slade Solcher and Thayne Solcher both of Kingwood; great grandchildren, Justin Boyum, Jeremy Boyum, Tara Boyum, Gabrielle Boyum, Alexis Pace, Alisha Pace, Reagan Pace, Taylor Truax, Kylie Truax and Kellen Nalepa.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Todd Boyum, Lex Pace, Marcus Nalepa, Jeremy Truax, Slade Solcher and Thane Solcher.

Ludie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Mitchell Lalonde, known by many people who worked with him at Texaco Oil Refinery. They were married for fifty years until his death in September of 1992.
