Amelia was the daughter of Peter and Mary (Weber) Butz, who were both born in a German colony in Russia. Amelia married Jacob Blehm on Feb. 19, 1913, in Billings, Montana. They were blessed with nine children. See her husband's memorial.

Amelia was buried on Feb. 18, 1978.

About Amelia's mother: According to Amelia's son Irv Blehm his maternal grandmother (Mary Weber Butz) was a sister of Amalia Weber Yost. According to the 1900 US census, Mary Butz was born in October 1870. By the time of the 1910 US census, her husband, Peter, was remarried to a woman named Annie. It appears that Mary had died between 1902 and 1905, probably in Colorado.
