Jane M. Broich was born February 22, 1936, the daughter of Matthew Frank and Loretta (Steffes) Broich in Carroll, Iowa, and passed away Friday, February 17, 2012, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.

She grew up in Willey, Iowa, attending school in Carroll at St. Lawrence Catholic School, then graduating from the St. Angela Academy in 1954. Jane worked as a waitress at Pauline's Café in Carroll where she met Paul Wessling. The couple was married May 7, 1955, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Maple River, Iowa. They moved to Anita in January of 1964.

Jane provided child care for Eric and Craig Miller for many years. The most important things to her were her family and home. She was a very faithful woman. Her daughters will always remember waking up to find a new dress for school that Jane had spent the night sewing.
