Services Held For Hasenpflug

Services were held for Paul Hasenpflug, 86, of Creighton, Thursday, May 21 at Brockhaus Funeral Home at Creighton at 11 a.m. Rev. Charles Fisch officiated. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Art Goedeker, Chester Anderson, Pat Wortman, Jay Boone, Ronald Schulte and Charles Neyens.

Paul was born July 6, 1894 at Monowi to John and Lilly Hasenpflug. He died Monday, May 18, 1981 at the Creighton Care Centre at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 12 days.

On July 23, 1921 he married Grace Beardsley at Center. To this union were born three children. They lived in the Creighton community all their lives. Paul was well known for his love of baseball and his pitching ability. He was a member of the VFW Post 1151 at Creighton.

Surviving are his wife, Grace; one daughter, Mrs. Otis (Mildred) Wiand of Des Moines, Ia.; two sons, Leo of Alda and Gary of Creighton; one brother, Fred of Creighton; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers , two half brothers and a sister.
