Mrs. Ella Kellogg, 97, Dies; Rites Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Kellogg, who died Friday, Nov. 4 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital at the age of 97, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Grace Bible Church The Rev. Helmut Kienitz, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Junior Meyer, Leland George, Gilbert Ulrich, Allen Huigens, Bernard Kellogg and Allan Schreier.

Mrs. Kellogg had been hospitalized about a month after suffering a broken hip. She is believed to be Creighton's oldest resident.

Ella Smith, daughter of Charles and Isabella Smith, was born Jan. 6, 1869 in Scotland. She married Morten B. Kellogg in October, 1893. She had lived most of her life on Nebraska farms. She was a member of the Grace Bible Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Marjorie) Huigens of Creighton; a son, Gordon Kellogg of Norfolk; four grandchildren and two sisters, Alice Smith of Creighton and Mrs. Madge Reynolds of Murdo, S.D.

Her parents, one sister and five brothers preceded her in death.
