Emma Kovac Hamilton, age 92, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas. Emma was born March 21, 1920, the daughter of Anthony and Helen Stampfel Kovac in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a graduate of St. John's Elementary School and Bishop Ward High School. Emma was an excellent seamstress, working for Missouri Garment Company and Phil Jacobs Company for over 37 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, as well as Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Emma also was a member of the Gorski Kotar, Lodge 505, the Daughters of Isabella (Holy Trinity Circle) and the Independent Order of the Foresters.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Henry, in 1972; brothers, Anthony and Ernie Kovach, and two sisters, Mary Weaver and Wilma Boan. She left behind her stepdaughter and son-in-law; three brothers, John, Albert and Fred Richard; two step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with inurnment at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
