Perry, GA- Denise Pitzer Brown, 58, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Crosspoint Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Mangrum officiating. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
Mrs. Brown was born in Thomasville and moved to Houston County as a young child. She went to Perry High School and then began riding race horses professionally. She later graduated from ABAC's Veterinary Technician Program and became a Vet Tech at Smith Animal Hospital in Perry. She married the love of her life, Allen Brown, and they settled in Perry to raise their family. Mrs. Brown loved horses and every aspect of them...riding them, training them, training other people to ride them, taking care of them, etc. She enjoyed growing flowers and working in her garden, from which she picked many vegetables through the years, and canning that which she harvested. Spending time with her family and being outdoors were her favorite things to do. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Pitzer, and a brother, Steve Pitzer.
Left to cherish the memories of Denise are her loving husband of 25 years, Allen Brown of Perry; her children, Heather Tollett (Michael) of Memphis, TN, and Chris Brown of Perry; her mother, Gloria Pitzer Beamon of Hogansville; her brothers, Eric Pitzer (Carol), Thad Pitzer (Tina), Ken Pitzer, and John Pitzer (Sabrina); her granddaughter, Taylor Tollett; her mother-in-law, Frances Lamberth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
