Anna Lusinda (Menke) Schwanke was born to her loving parents Gerhard and Emma (Demhlow) Menke on Tuesday April 20, 1897 at Leigh, Colfax County Nebraska. Anna was born the third child of eight siblings. My research found no information on her childhood or schooling. Anna was united in marriage to Hermann Schwanke on Thursday May 14, 1925 at Leigh. The couple were blessed with two sons and a daughter during their years of marriage. I recall as a young boy visiting with my parents Anna and Hermann at their Fremont Home at 533 West South Street on the south side. Anna was a stay at home mother, she loved her children. Sadly Anna passed on Sunday January 30, 1977 at Fremont, Dodge County at the age of 79 years, 9 months, 10 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 29,139 days. My research found no information on Anna's funeral. Anna was interred in the Memorial Cemetery at Fremont. Anna's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Anna by her nephew Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
