Mr. Carmer moved to Arizona from his native Iowa 37 years ago and was a retired plumber.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Erma Carmer of Prescott Valley; three sons, Chuck Hawkins of Glendale, Ariz., Adrian Hawkins of Youngstown, Ariz., and Donald D. Carmer of Oskaloosa, Iowa; three daughters, Rose Marie Holland of Keswick, Iowa, Dorothy Jean Storebraker of Sigourney, Iowa, and Anita Kay Biggs of What Cheer, Iowa; also 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. March 9, 1992, at the Open Door Baptist Church, 8541 E. Stevens Drive, in Prescott Valley. Reverend Tom Petro will officiate. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Memory Chapel Mortuary, 131 Grove Avenue, Prescott.
The family prefers contributions go to the Church Building Fund, 8541 E. Stevens Drive, Prescott Valley, Ariz., 86314.
