Per Martin Binder's obituary in the New Castle, Pa. Mews April 6, 1933:
Martin Binder, aged 55, 116 Wilder avenue, died in the New Castle hospital at 2:45 this morning following an illness of 36 hours of complications.
Mr. Binder was born in austria Octobe 21, 1877, the dson of John and Anna Hine Binder, and had lived in New Castle the past 30 years, having conducted a sheet metal and furnace business.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, the Eintracht Singing Society and the German Beneficial Union.
Heis survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Schotch Binder; three sons, Martin Jr., John and George, of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Eve, New Castle, and two brothers, Paul, of this city, and one in St. Paul, Minn.
Funeral services were held on Monday at two P.m. from the home, 116 Wilder avenue, with Rev. A.M. Stump, pastor of the St. Paul's Lutheran church, officiating. Interment was made in Greenwood cemetery.
