Alexis M. Giangrande, age 57, of Malden formerly of Medford, passed away August 20th, following a brief illness surrounded by her loved ones. She was the beloved wife of Gene J. Giangrande Sr. Born in Everett she was the daughter of Florence (Balliro) Monteforte of Brentwood, NH and the late Alexander Monteforte. Alexis was extremly devoted to her family and loved being around children. She was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. In addition to her late father, she is preceded in death by her daughter Nadine Giangrande. She is survived by her daughter, Dina Giangrande of Everett, and her son Gene Giangrande of Medford. She is also survived by her loving granddaughter, Monique Giangrande. She is further survived by her sisters, Leah Miller and her husband Stephen of Brentwood, NH, Margaret Wohrle and her husband Hans of Stoneham, Lucille Collings of Medford and her brother Louis Monteforte of Everett. Also many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Thursday, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St. Malden at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
