DIED IN THE WEST - Silas Kreger, a former county resident, died in Lostant, Ill., on Sunday aged 65 years. Mr. Kreger was a native of Upper Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, being a son of the late Bernard Kreger, an early settler in the Turkeyfoot region. Besides his wife, he is survived by six children as follows: Mrs. Myrtle Hildebrand, Ira Kreger, Raymond Kreger, Miss Ruby Kreger, Pearl wife of John Garwin, and Elsie, wife of Oran Judd. There are also five surviving brothers: William of Kingwood, Somerset County; Peter and Hiram of Kansas; Herman of California and Garrett of Illinois. Ex-County Treasurer Peter Dumbauld, of Somerset a brother-in-law attended the funeral.
