"Jake" died at a Tualatin hospital. Son to David and Elizabeth (Kaiser) Wagner. He grew up and went to school in Newberg. He moved to Charleston and worked as a mechanic in Coos Bay, then returned to Newberg in 1962 and opened Wagner's Shell, which he owned and operated until 1989, when he retired. He traveled in his fifth-wheel trailer and he enjoyed fishing and camping. He spent most of his the winters in Apache Junction, AZ. Survivors include: ex-wife RosaLee of Rose Lodge; daughters, Joan Lovell of Rose Lodge and Karen Berberian of Newberg; stepson Ron McClaflin of Vancouver, WA; sisters, Kay La Joie of Newberg, Millie Schneider and Ruth Flud, both of Newberg; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Dave, and two sisters, Mary Wendt and Lydia Black.
