Mr. and Mrs. Edward Eckhart, parents of Mrs. Frank Stirn will soon
celebrate their golden wedding at Mr. Stirn's residence in this city.
Both Mr. and Mr. (sic) Eckhart are natives of Sachsen Goths, he having
been born in Georgenthal March 17, 1811, and she in Onrdruff May 4th,
1804. They were married in Georgenthal Jan. 5th, 1835, and had seven
children, four of whom, two sons and two daughters, are still living.
These are Mr. Fred Eckhart, of Ledyard, Mr. Hermann Eckhart of Gibson,
Mrs. Frank Stirn and Mrs. Rosa Hinrichs of this city. The golden wedding
will be celebrated by a gathering of the family and their friends, with
all the good cheer and jollity so rare and happy an event merits, and
the Times takes this opportunity to offer its hearty congratulations.
