LENA RATH

Mrs. Lena Rath, 89, widow of John Rath, died suddenly Monday evening at her
home, 124 S. 11th street.
Nee Lena Werner, she was born in Mishicot on Nov. 27, 1855, and was united
in marriage with Mr. Rath on May 2, 1870. He preceded his wife in death 14
years ago.
The body is at the Pfeffer funeral home and will lie in state there after noon
on Wednesday. The Rev. Theo. Uetzmann, pastor of the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran
church, will officiate at the last rites at 1:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon at
the funeral parlors and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Rath is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Roland Brachmann of Manitowoc; a son,
Emil of Two Rivers; a brother, John Werner of Hemit, Calif., and one sister,
Mrs. Bartel Notz, also of Manitowoc. Nine grandchildren and 14 great grand-
children also survive.
