This community wag saddened by the news of the death early last Thursday morning, February 29, at Mrs. Eugene Welch, 29, at her home southeast of Akron following a, brief illness.

The former Marlene Ann Osterbuhr, she was born in Akron on September 1, 1938. She grew to young womanhood in Akron and graduated from the Akron High School with the Class of 1959. On June 18, 1960, she was united in marriage with Eugene Welch. She was a member of, St. Catherine's Catholic Church, and the Church Guild at Westfield, and of the Catholic Daughters of America at Akron.

Besides her husband she is survived by three children, James, John and Joseph, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Osterbuhr; a sister, Mary Ostenbuhr; a brother, Marlin Osterbuhr, all of Akron; her grandfather, Fred Osterbuhr, of Hawarden.

Funeral services were held Monday morning of this week at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. J. G. Schissel officiating. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery here.

The community joins in expressing- sympathy to the family and relatives in their sudden bereavement.
