Irma was born at home just before midnight on March 31, 1905. The midwife put down April 1 because she didn't fill out the birth certificate until morning. Irma took a lot of ribbing in school about being born on April Fool's Day. She refused to use the same midwife when her children were born.
She married Karl Kisch in 1924. They raised 6 children who gave them 4 grand children and 5 great grand children. They immigrated in 1975 to settle in Pennsylvania.
