Born on Feb. 9, 1923 in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Edith Barry. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Congregational Church in Bartonsville.
She was a veteran of World War II, having served as a nurse cadet.
She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at the former Monroe County General Hospital in East Stroudsburg.
She was a faithful member of TOPS in Stroudsburg and a former member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a granddaughter; a sister-in-law; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Allan Mader, who died in 1999.
