Andrew Johnson, Frankfort, Kansas passed
away Tuesday, July 26, 1988 at Community
Memorial Hospital at Marysville, Kansas.
He was eighty-four years old.
Mr. Johnson was a manager of a lumber
yard in Greenleaf, Kansas and later was
mail route driver before he retired.
Mr. Johnson was born February 3, 1904,
the son of Elmer and Martha (Carter)
Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Mount
Calvary Lutheran Church in Marysville,
Kansas.
He was married to Marie Wiechman
on November 30, 1930. She died
January 25, 1967. He was married to
Bernadine Winkler Stegman on
September 6, 1968. He was a loving
husband and father and will be sadly
missed by his wife, who visited him
each day while he was confined to the
care home.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadine,
of home, a daughter, Janet Sandlin,
Topeka, Kansas; a son Delton Lee
Johnson, Santa Paula, California,
Four step-daughters, Bernita, Lechner
Seneca, Kansas, Deanna Juneman,
Hanover, Kansas, Arlene Biggs,
Nashville, Tennessee and Darlene
Turnbull, Vermillion, Kansas; a
stepson Louis Stegman Jr. Oklahoma,
two sisters, Myrtie Biedsoe, Washington
Kansas and Grace Spreer, Garnett, Kansas;
a brother Harold Johnson, Washington Kansas;
Twenty-seven grandchildren and

Eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m.
Friday, July 29, 1988 in Bethlehem Lutheran
Church at Greenleaf, Kansas
with Pastor David Meier officiating.
Music was provided by Mrs. Arlene
Wiemers, organist and Mrs. Cheryl Waterman,
soloist.
Pallbearers were Tim Gilliam, Gary Padgett,
Frances Green, Duane Wilson,Olin Sandlin and
Elmer Lohmeyer, all of Greenleaf Kansas.

Burial was in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery at
Greenleaf, Kansas.
