Grazia "Grace" Fiorella was born in the small Sicilian town of Montemaggiore Belsito. She immigrated to the U.S. via Ellis Island in 1888, moving to Birmingham, Alabama, when she married Andrea "Henry" Trippi in 1898. She and Henry ran a combined drugstore/grocery store in Birmingham, in the Trippie Building on Avenue C and 24th street. They had two children, Rose Angela and Mike. Grace died in 1955 at age 86 and is buried beside her husband in block 10 of Elmwood Cemetery.
