Magdalena M ZEIDLER, native of Meschowitz Bohemia (Czech Republic), was one of several children born to Cathrian MACH of Bohemia and Joseph ZEIDLER of Bohemia (h&w), who themselves remained in Bohemia.

Magdalena immigrated Oct 09 1868 into the Port of New York USA aboard the ship Northern Light, along with HER brother Anton ZEIDLER, his wife Katherena, and their two daughters Margaret and Maria.//All five settled in the village of Plymouth, Richland County, OH.

Years later, Barbara ZEIDLER, another sister, immigrated into USA and resided with Anton ZEIDLER. She later married Joseph STEFFEL and they moved to Minnesota.

Magdalena ZEIDLER married November 04 1874, Plymouth, Richland County, OH, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, John Joseph GABRIEL (1850-1926) who emigrated from Wilkenschen, Bohemia, into the Port of Baltimore on the ship Admiral June 04 1866, along with HIS brother Joseph GABRIEL.//They birthed seven: Margaret M (1875-1956), Anna Mary (1878-1950), Laura (1880-1944), Matilda Henrietta (1884-1948), Catherine Rose (1886-1959), Joseph Aloysius (1889-1971), and Henry Leo (1892-1968).

Magdalena died while visiting in her son Henry Leo's family home, Rocky River, Cuyahoga County, OH.//Cause of death was influenza.//BARKDULL Funeral Home, Shelby OH, was in charge of burial services. Funeral Mass was held at Most Pure Heart of Mary's Catholic Church, Shelby OH, with Rev. A. A. FATE (Albert A, son of Mary and Michael FATE (h&w) US Census) officiating. Burial was in the GABRIEL-and-GARDNER families plot, alongside her husband, and later daughter Anna and her husband John J BROWN, daughter Catherine and her husband James Peter GARDNER Sr., never-married son Joseph A GABRIEL, and daughter Laura and her husband William LAUBIE.//All seven adult-aged "children" survived Magdalena including Maggi and her husband John P FATE, Tillie and her husband Ralph John SCHILTZ, and Henry Leo and his wife Corinne PERRAULT-GABRIEL.
