PANHANDLE - (Special) - Funeral services for Arthur Glenn Gripp, 66, Carson County farmer and rancher were held at 2 p.m. today in the First Methodist Church of Panhandle with the Rev. James Todd, pastor of the First Christian Church of Claude, officiating, assisted by the Rev. James Carter, Methodist minister of Panhandle.

Burial was in the Claude cemetery under the direction of Poston Funeral Home of Panhandle.

Gripp died at Highland General Hospital in Pampa at 4 p.m. Wednesday after a lengthy illness. He moved to Carson County in 1913. He was a Carson County commissioner from 1942 to 1944 and was superintendent of the Conway Community Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Spicer and Glenn of Hereford; a brother, Guy of Panhandle; three sisters, Mrs. Groves Buram of Panhandle, Mrs. Howard Mulkey of Miami and Mrs. Grace Steinke of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and five grandchildren.
