Mrs. Barbetty Prange, 73, died at the home of her son, Arthur Prange, near Howards Grove, at 2 a.m. today after a lingering illness.
She was born in the town of Sheboygan Falls on Aug. 10, 1862, her maiden name being Batbetty Specht. In 1875 she was married to Henry Prange and the couple moved to the old homestead in the town of Herman. Her husband preceded her in death five years ago.
The survivors are two sons, Arthur, who lives on the homestead, and Theodore of Sheboygan, one daughter, Tonie Prange, who lives at the homestead; five brothers, John Specht of the town of Herman, William of the town of Sheboygan Falls, August of the town of Sheboygan Falls, Henry of Plymouth and Fred of the town of Rhine.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from the home and at 1:30 p.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Millersville, the Rev. Mr. Mielke officiating. Burial will be at Concordia cemetery.
