Funeral of Edward Brandes


Funeral services for Edward Brandes, Omaha, Neb., formerly of Winona, were conducted at 2p.m. today at the Breitlow funeral home. Dr. H.D. Henry officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pall bearers were John (*should be Louis) Christianson, Gustav Kruger, George Brandes. Clement Henthorne, Theron Haedtke, and Eugene Brandes.

Death of Edward Brandes


Edward Brandes, 75, former Winona resident, died at Omaha, Neb., Wednesday following a long illness. He had been residing with a daughter, Mrs. Anna Oman, at Omaha, and had left here for the city 17 years ago. Survivors include one son John, Sioux City, Iowa, his daughter; one brother, John,Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. R.W. Staack, Sioux City and Mrs. J.B.Sullivan, Lewiston. The body will arrive here at 10 a.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Breitlow funeral home, Dr. H.D.Henry officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
