MENTON Lieutenant Thomas Paul Menton, M.P.D. - A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Monday, October 8, 2012. Lt. Menton began his career with the Mobile Police Department in 1974 as a Junior Policeman and in 1980 as a cadet. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant serving the City of Mobile in the Patrol Division, the Youth Services Division, the Traffic Enforcement Unit, and most recently as Commander of the Central Events Precinct on Dauphin Street and the Mobile Police Department Mounted Unit. He was preceded in death by his father, William Joseph Menton, Sr.; one sister, Carmen Elena Menton; two brothers, John Samuel Menton and Francis A. "Frank" Menton; and his grandmother, Rosario B. "Nana" Santana.
Interment in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
