Helen attended school at Districts #3 and #2 near Pender, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church west of Pender, NE. Helen lived in Omaha, NE. for four years, working at the Martin Bomb Plant and at the Fort Crook Army Base. She married Allen Olson on November 25, 1946 in Hiawatha, KS. The couple made their home on a farm west of Emerson, NE. Allen passed away on October 27, 2005. Helen enjoyed reading, the outdoors, square dancing, bowling and sewing.
Helen is survived by: children, Gary (Georgejean) Olson of Dakota City, NE., Andrew (Janice) Olson of Emerson, NE., Sherry Hurley of Medina, OH., Candice Litras of Omaha, NE. and Crystal Olson of Omaha, NE.; brother, Lloyd (Carol) Wageman of Pender, NE.; sister, Irene Albreicht of Emerson, NE.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren
Helen was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Allen Olson; granddaughters, Laura Lee and Melinda Olson, brother, Charles Wageman, and sister, Mary Ann Bottger.
Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Emerson, NE.
