Bertha G. Pokorny
LA CROSSE - Bertha G. Pokorny, 102, died May 29, 2010. She was born Oct. 26, 1907, to Alexander and Anna Marie Moore Kerbs.

In 1925, she married John Gillig. He died in 1932. On Oct. 21, 1934, she married William Pokorny. He died in May 1969.

Survivors include: a son, Dr. Robert; a daughter-in-law, Dolores Pokorny Borgstadter; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 17 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, La Crosse. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends, at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, and from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial in La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse. Memorials to United Methodist Church, La Crosse or Pokorny Scholarship Fund at Fort Hays State University, Hays.
