No photographs of Johann Jaeger exist.

The photograph viewed is his brother Franz Jager (Jaeger), 1827-1887.

Francis (Franz Joseph) was mustered into the military at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, 14 March 1865, and served as a private in Co. D, 6th Regiment, Wisconsin Infantry. At the time of his induction records show him to be 37 years of age with gray eyes, brown hair, dark complexion, 5 ft. 6 inches tall, born in Germany and a farmer by occupation. His enlistment is credited to Moscow, Iowa County, Wisconsin.

Mary Gross Jaeger (1850 - 1939) Married 1874 at Richmond, Stearns County, MN
Birthed nine children between 1871-1886. Pierz, Morrison County, MN residents.

Anna Magdelena Jaeger Smraker (1874 - 1939)*
Frank J Jaeger (1879 - 1963)*

Johann Jaeger's sister, Rosalia Jaeger Marr. Born May 2, 1840 Ebensee, Austria. Married German native William Marr July 13, 1863 in Lafayette County, WI. Died February 4, 1909, Afton Township, Howard County, IA. Mother of ten children.
Buried in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, New Haven, Mitchell, Iowa.
