Latin music producer. He was manager of famous pop singer Chayanne during 16 years, and also served as a panelist in several programs on Chilean Channel 13 like: "Latin American Idol" (where played the role as "bad juror"), "Mi nombre es", "Mi nombre es VIP", in the role of professor of program "Rojo, fama contra fama". He also was the host of "La Gran Capital", a program where he was visiting the neighborhoods and popular places of Santiago of Chile. Among its greatest professional achievements was awarded "Manager of the Year 1989", by Billboard magazine in recognition of his work as representative of Chayanne, who managed until 1996. He composed the song "Provócame", one of Chayanne's greatest hits.
He was found dead in his apartment in Biscayne Bay, Miami where he was visiting his mother that's sick.

In the 1980s, while managing a restaurant in his native Country, he met Elmer Figueroa, better known as Chayanne, a Puerto Rican singer who was a member of the group Los Chicos, whose manager Sánchez became and launched his solo career in 1983. Although the singer's first two albums - Chayanne es mi nombre and Sangre latina - were not very successful, the 1987 album Chayanne made him internationally known. For this, Sánchez was awarded the title of "best manager" by Billboard magazine in 1989.
In 1992, he composed the hit song "Provócame" for Chayanne, which appeared on the album of the same name. He also composed "Para tenerte otra vez", which he dedicated to his daughter, and directed the videoclip of the song "Tiempo de vals". In 1996 his relationship with Chayanne came to an end, as both could not agree on the English language crossover of his Career.
In addition to leading Chayanne's career, she launched other artists to fame, among them Colombian actress Ana María Orozco. He managed to place 14 singles in Billboard's top 10, and obtained 17 platinum and 30 gold records with different artists. He was also the musical producer of more than 500 concerts and television programs. [1]

Subsequently, he began working in television, participating as a judge in the talent shows Latin American Idol (2006-2008) and Vive la música in Panamá. In 2008 he arrived in Chile, where he was a teacher in the program Rojo Fama Contrafama and a judge in Circo de estrellas (2010), both of TVN.
Finally he settled in the South American country, joining Canal 13, where he was a judge in Mi nombre es.... (2011-2012) and Mi nombre es? VIP (2012), in addition to occasionally participating as a commentator in the morning show Bienvenidos. He was a telephonist in the Teletón 2011. In Canal 13 he also had his own program, La gran capital (2012), which consisted of four chapters in which he toured different popular sectors of Santiago de Chile and appeared in the docurreality Dash & Cangri as an advisor to the protagonists. His last project was Talento Teletón, which sought new artists for the 2012 Teletón tour.
He passed away in Miami at the age of 54, on October 31, 2012, while caring for his ailing mother. His funeral was held in that same city on November 4. [2]
