Patsy Hood Spiars, 71 died Tuesday, October 23 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Funeral services were Friday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home with Fr. Lincoln Dall and Bill McGraw officiating. Burial followed at the Concord Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Spiars was born March 9, 1941 in Yazoo County to William and Anna Sudbeck Hood. She was an office manager for Yazoo Insurance and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Spiars; a sister, Martha Ann King; and a grandson, Jaymie Shipp.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick "Pete" Spiars of Yazoo City; two daughters, Cindy Spiars and Kim Eakin of Yazoo City; a sister, Betty Rickles of Baton Rouge,La; and two brothers, William H. Hood of West Point and David J. Hood of Palm Springs, Ca.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael Erickson, Mike McGraw, Charles Crawford, Kirk Erickson, Neal McGraw and Tim Trammel.
