Sarah Lucille Metcalf was born June 28, 1926 in Stone Lake, WI the daughter of Asa and Anna (Wick) Metcalf. She attended school in Stone Lake and lived on her parent's farm. In 1978 Sarah moved to Hayward, WI where she worked with Ventures Unlimited for several years. Sarah enjoyed gardening, working with farm animals, crocheting, painting, going on trips and visiting with her nieces and nephews.
Sarah is survived by her two sisters, Bessie Jarvis of Stone Lake, WI, Marcella Shoquist of Hayward, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Marshall and Floyd Metcalf; three sisters, Helen Metcalf, Lazetta Lamphear and Hazel Slayton.
A funeral service celebrating Sarah's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22 at the Wesleyan Church in Stone Lake with Pastor Tim Young officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church in Stone Lake. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Sunset Senior Home.
