Marcella Sarah (Metcalf) Shoquist age 99, formerly of Spooner, WI passed away at Golden Living Valley of Hayward on Thursday, September 12, 2013.
Marcella was born August 22, 1914 in Round Lake Twp, WI to Asa and Anna (Wick) Metcalf.
Her family moved to Stone Lake WI in 1916, where she attended Edgewood Grammar School. On August 12, 1936 she was united in marriage to Franklin Shoquist of Spooner, WI. They owned and operated their farm for ten years in Spooner, WI.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Franklin 1990, brothers and sisters; Helen, Hazel, Sarah, Lazetta, Marshall, and Floyd.
She is survived by her sister Bessie Jarvis of Stone Lake, many nieces, nephews, foster children, and by special friend Terry Tonnar of Trego.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013, at 11 am, at the Stone Lake Wesleyan Church with Pastor Timothy Young officiating. Music will be provided by organist Carol Sheehan and soloist Terry Tonnar. Visitation will be on Friday, at the Church from 10-11 am. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake. Casket bearers will be David, Larry, and Mike Jarvis, Dwight and Rick Metcalf, and Eugene Slayton.
