Steve "Whitey" Pucevich, 87, of Center Twp, passed away Thursday Nov. 29, 2012 in Beaver Elder Care.

Born Sept 12, 1925 in West Aliquippa, a son of the late Steve and Cecilia (Patcher) Pucevich, he was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Center Twp. Mr. Pucevich retired as a brakeman from A& S Railroad, and he was one of the founding proprietors of Monaca Bowling Lanes. A proud WWII Army veteran, he served in the 10th Mountain Division and was awarded a bronze medal for his heroic actions in Torbole, Italy. Whitey was inducted in to the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame, the Aliquippa Sports Hall of Fame and the Beaver County Bowling Hall of Fame.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Ann (Cvitkovich) Pucevich in 1976, and his brother Rudolph Pucevich. Surviving are his loving wife Josephine (Mattia) Pucevich, 2 sons and daughters in law, Stephen and Gloria Pucevich, Charles and Maria Pucevich, a daughter and son in law, Terese and Robert Jank, his grandchildren, Jeffrey and Nicole Pucevich, Ryan and Jennifer Pucevich, Brian and Julianne Pucevich, Matthew Pucevich, Alyssa, and Michael Jank, great grandchildren, Braden, Riley, Sierra, Elena and Tegen Pucevich, his stepchildren, Carla and Joseph "Skip" Vukmanovich, Antonia Mattia and Marta Uribe, Maxine Mattia Farmer and John Farmer, step grandchildren, Bill Vukmanovich, Deena and Bob Minghini, Joey Vukmanovich, Miguel, Bobi and Hagda Mattia-Uribe and Ian and Emily Farmer, 2 step great grandchildren, Roman and Chase, 2 sisters and a brother in law Josephine and Mike Perich and Beba Metropoulos and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2-6pm in Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Center Twp, 3475 Brodhead Rd Monaca, Pa 15061, where a service will be held Monday at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church-Center Twp., with Fr. Regis Alberth, officiating. Interment will follow at 11am in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery-Hopewell Twp., where the Beaver County Special Unit will conduct military honors.
