Doris was born on June 30, 1919 in Omemee North Dakota to Robert and Madeline (Bragg) Brandt.
Doris enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards and going to the casino.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Willow City.
She is survived by her son Curtis (Charlotte) Zimmerman of Brainerd Minnesota. Four grandchildren Bonita, Wayne, Shelly and Tanya. Ten great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Zimmerman in 1964, husband Werner Kitzing in 1994, and her son Gary Zimmerman in October of 2012.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Willow City.
